POI warner has announced that now POI and speed cam can be added in sony NV unit as well. the website ( http://www.navigating.de/Home_en/neues.htm ) writes that
"Sony nav-u ready for POI-Warner!
The unrenounceable POI-Warner features are also available for Sony nav-u now.
Get an acoustical and visual warning of so-called „points-of-interests“ (POIs), which indicate fast food chains, gas stations or discount supermarkets. Create your own POIs at the touch of a button, or get guided to the closest cash dispenser. POIs are synchronised online automatically.
As for the other POI-Warner versions, you may use the popular static and dynamic speed cam POIs from our synchronisation partner’s supply. Please note that the POI-Warner, in combination with speed cam data, upgrades your navigation device to a full speed cam warner. Please pay attention to your country’s legal situation, e.g. in Germany the use of a speed cam warner might be prosecuted as an irregularity. " |

| Iam not a cheapskate but I have a working unit without any cost apart from time. But now others may go down this route as it will be less hassle for a price. |
