For information. I have mailed Sony UK about this. They have confirmed that

1) It is a bug

2) They are looking at it

After the 1.04 upgrade (alot more upgrades required before it functions as it should) I changed to 3D to see if they had rectified the POI problem. You do get POI displayed on the screen but only at your position and the last bit of screen below the pointer. Really useful. Laughing

They still haven't done anything about it with the latest upgrade 1.05.02 . So it looks like they wont cure it.
