Ever seen that advert confused dot com? B****y winds me up something cronic. But guess what - I'm confused over choice!!!!!

I have a XDAII PDA that I tend to just use for the phone (at the moment). I don't have a handsfree kit so currently transfer the SIM to my 6230 to use with the handsfree kit in the car - what a drag!

I already have a Magellan Meridian GPS with Mapsend software (country lane level). I currently use it in the car and on the mountain bike.

I have Memory Map on the PC at home and on the SD card pf the PDA (but no GPS for outdoor position use (yet)).

I also have an Origin B2 camera detector.

(PHEW!) I'll get to the dilema in a min - honest!

I have been looking at putting TT5 on the PDA, with a powered, speaker cradle and a bluetooth GPS receiver. This would enable me to have turn by turn directions, POI's etc. I could also use Memory Map for the walks and things (I'd never use the PDA on the mountain bike!). I wouldn;t need to change the SIM card either.

HOWEVER!!

I've heard so many people say they have problems with TT5 and the XDAII - people are using different SD cards, upgrading ROMs etc. Too complicated for me.

Are my fears unfounded?

So I've also been looking the TT GO 500 or 700. I like the look and features of the 700 but I don't travel to Europe very often, so I think the 500 will do me. However, when I do go to Europe, can I install additional maps onto the 500 SD card? As the POI databases grow, will I be looking at increasing the size of the SD card? Can the map data etc. be easily tranferred between different SD cards?

Is the processor speed noticeable between the 500 and the 700?

The new 710/910 sound very nice but I have no idea of how the cost will compare. Can anyone elighten me?

I like my B2 camera alert but the subscription is up in a few weeks. How does the 500/700 camera database compare? Do I keep the B2 or rely on the TT database?

One idea I do like is the 'simplicity' of the GO. I may even be able to encourage my wife to go driving alone as she is always worried about finding her way back home again!

In a nutshell, should I go PDA or GO route?

(sorry for the length of post - I'm confused with too much info!)

And now I've read the review of the new range, I could use the 510 as my hands free kit and still use my PDA as my phone!

Will the 510 bluetooth enable the 510 to pass GPS coords to the PDA, so I can use the Memory Map on the PDA, using the 510 as the GPS receiver?

Now THAT would be cool!
