Hands free Program for Ipaq

I am running CheckPOInt 3.2, UKPostCode and TTN 3.02 with wired GPS on an iPAQ H2210 and Windows Pocket PC 2003 Premium Edition mounted on a Seidio G2500.

It has occurred to me that this set-up could also serve as a Bluetooth hands-free kit for my Sony Ericsson T610 if the appropriate software program existed for the iPAQ. Does anyone know if such an application exists?

At the moment, the audio support in the Pocket PC version of the Widcomm Bluetooth stack used in Bluetooth iPAQs is a bit crude - on most devices it's disabled unless you carry out a registry hack to re-enable it.

The microphone on the iPAQ has limited sensitivity, and there'd be no echo cancellation between the speaker in the mount and the microphone.


In truth, the best answer if you want in-car hands free is to use a proper hands free kit. Be aware that if you want to use the Bluetooth link between your Pocket PC and mobile phone in car (for example for a navigation system that uses an Internet link, such as TomTom Traffic), you probably can't use Bluetooth hands free, as most phones only support one Bluetooth connection at once.
