I have just received Copilot 5 UK version.

I have installed the female text to voice option but am having problems hearing her. Following the instructions I have tried turning up the volume using the up arrow on my joypad but this has made no difference.

Has anyone else had this experience and has found a solution?

I haven't tried the female TTS, only the male which is quite loud. Perhaps because of the bellowing tones of his voice. I've used the female WAV files which are loud enough.

Have you made sure the "Amplify Speech Volume" option is set? On my iPaq 5550 sounds are pretty quiet anyway, so I use a Seido mount with built in amplifier.

I was only offered the option for either a male TTS voice, or female WAV. After trying out the TTS I have tried to switch to female WAV using the procedure in the manual but it made no difference! I seem to be stuck with the male TTS. Sad

OK. I have discovered how to switch voices. The manual is wrong, you have to do a deinstall then reinstall.

I still don't get offered male WAV or female TTS though, and can't see them on the CD. On my CD that only seems to be an option if you want to use American English.

I have removed the application and have installed the male voice.

Much better and clearer.
