I should have actauly said that I found what you had said only useful to a bluetooth enabled device and I then realised I had not stated that my device had no bluetooth.... Sorry folks.
So will ask again is it possible to use a pda with a builtin gps as a laptop gps via a serial/usb cradle or cable (medion pna100 has serial usb link).
regards

I guess it was the mention of wanting to transfer GPS data over a USB cable? I need the GpsGate software to do this with my i3...(which I use to drive MS Autoroute sometimes...)

You cannot do that over USB.
GPS (NMEA) data, with small percentage of exceptions, can only be transferred via serial.
As for the original post, intending to output GPS data from PPC with built in GPS to a PC, you will need first, as another member already pointed out, a serial splitter application like GPSgate on the PPC, and you have to export it through the serial port (BT is a serial port) of the PPC to the serial port of PC like this:
PPC>PPC serial cable>null modem adapter>PC serial cable>PC.
WM5 PPC is supposed to have virtual serial ports builts in so serial splitter application might not be needed but I have yet to test if that is the case. _________________ Pc-Mobile
