Hi to all,
This morning I've purchased TTN5 and trying to install it onto my Fujitsu Siemens LOOX 720. The executable file START does not start and do nothing when I click on it.
Obviously referring to TTN5 box there's no FUJITSU SIEMENS as compatible model, but OS is the same whatever PDA you have...
Does anyone came across that kind of issue ?
Is there patches to download or shall I return TTN back ?
Thanks for help... |

you need to run the setup on the PC, with the PDA connected via ActiveSync. _________________ Lutz

Hi
I am one of the small band of Loox users and apart from some 'quirkiness', I have no problems. I have an old Loox 600 which I've used with TTN since version 2 and I purchased the TTN5 upgrade.
The Loox 600 is not in any of the compatability lists, though I suspect these are the formal support lists (makes it easier for the help-desk to say no) rather than whether it should work or not.
I applied the TTN5 upgrade last week and it went through extremely smoothly. I am convinced that TTN5 is a much better engine, the scrolling and location on the maps is better than TTN3 and, with the help of these forums (don't forget the empty tomtom folder) the 7-digit postcodes now work brilliantly. I took a short while to re-learn what is where, but even that, on balance, is easier to use.
So, Loox 600 and wired GPS is not supported for TTN5? From my experience (a sample of 1 admittedly) it is the best TTN yet.
As long as you are installing from the issue CDs I would be surprised if you face a major problem.
Best wishes, Steve. |
