NAVMAN iCN520 PREMIUM on QVC at £299.28 with 3 x easypay!!

Hi,
Spotted this deal on the QVC site whilst doing a search for a reasonably priced Navman iCN520.

3 easy payments over the next few months is great.
Is this a good deal?

The non-Premium version is £249.99 at Argos - is it worth spending the extra on the Premium version with remote control and European Maps?
Any other websites to look at for a good price?

Hi,
Comet also have the standard unit at £249.99, there are quite alot on eBay, tho see the Navman site warning.
I'm not sure how the remote would be any safer than the unit itself and there's a posting suggesting new maps are coming soon,

it was a 'today's special value'. Went up in price after that.
It will go cheap again soon.

it's the basic one and no tthe premium version

Halfords are selling them for £329 with a free Snooper S2. I think it's the UK map version only though.

Hi all.

I took up the option of buying the above from QVC. I sent it back within a couple of days as i thought it was rubbish.

It was very slow, including finding an alternative route. Kept telling me to do a U turn, even when i knew where iwas going and the route was correct.

I have since got a Tomtom 700. Much better, quicker and easier to use.
