I have a Toshiba E400 with the same problem message. It is running windows 2003 and i have a Polstar PGM-111 wired GPS receiver. I have been told a driver is needed, but still have not found one myself. (Polstar state on their web site drivers are not needed for connecting to PDA's ?????) |

I have just found the fix for my Toshiba E400...
Go to www.tomtom.com
Type "GPS driver" as a search
Download and install using their instructions "update Oct 2004 tomtom GPS 3.07-PocketPC"
It fixed the "Unidentified USB Device" error message for me, and it then gives the option of com 2 in the tomtom config settings that was not available before. (For my Polstar PGM-111 baud rate 4800 com 2)
Not sure it will work with your e750, but it might be worth a try. |

hi thanks for the advice, tried but no such luck. i have found some info from pc-mobile.com that the e740/750 does not have seem to have the provision of rs-232 serial connection in its hardware so connecting a external gps is nearly impossible(wired). it maybe done with extra cables and drivers but there is a power question, does it put out enough?so maybe bt is the way to go. |
