I have been following this thread with interest:

http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=22522

But as a Palm TT5 user, I simply can't get it to work. I am 100% sure I am doing it right and 99% sure that its simply not possible on the Palm version, but one of the posts implies that other Palm users have been able to do it!

Since there appear to be very few Palm users in that forum, I figured that someone here might have tried to get this working.

So. Has anyone with a Palm had any success with customizing menus?

This is so annoying. I know that we never had the ability to change the menus before, but then we didn't have the 'Traffic' button on the front screen.

I want to move 'Traffic' to the last screen, and move something more useful to the front.

Also, now that a route stays active, even once you get to your destination and power off, I want to have 'Clear Route' on the front screen.

Just incase this is of help to someone, it seems that the Palm version does support the 'menu' feature!!

If you look at the 'code' (/TomTom/Munich.bin) using a Hex-Editor, and search for 'tomtom.mnu' you will see a reference to "SdkRegistry" and "tomtom.mnu".. So, clearly the same functionality is build into the code, so it should work.

I havn't stopped playing.. I have moved my 'SdkRegistry' directory around and changed teh case of the .mnu file, but it just doesn't work.

I even contacted TomTom to see if they new anything about it.. But was told that I should watch the FAQ pages for more info...

I am stumped!
