Ordered 6th June ref 56xxxx. Last night UPS tracking showed still in Appeldoorn!
However on my return from Birmingham this evening I found package sitting on the doormat. Hurray! UPS tracking now shows delivered, but I know that anyway!
Except after all the posts here I am still thinking about whether to install yet or not.

Go for it! But read the manual on the installation CD carefully. A lot of the moans on this forum show that the writers haven't read just what TT5 CAN do. Many "missing" features are actually available if you read carefully. They are just accessed in a different way from TT3

Ok, I've found out how to do one of the things I liked in TTN3,
Demo a route,
Connect to your GPS,
Create a route,
View route options,
And there you are, you can show the route demo,
BUT
If I want to demo a route, then it would be when I don't have the GPS receiver with me?!?!?!
Thats not logical having to have the reciever just to demo a route!!

How to demo a route without the GPS receiver:
Load up TomTom
Click [Advanced planning]
Pick your [Depart from] address
Pick your [Destination] address
Then your route type and click [done]
Then click [route]
Then click [Show route demo]
Hope that helps. :D

Sorry Guys but my TTN5 Order No 564xxx was shipped on the 13th and arrived on the 16th. Was the wait worth it? No! I am almost tempted to go back to TTN3 as it was much more user friendly. The software is pedantic and the journeys it now plans to my old places are convoluted and at times bizarre.  |

Today is the 2nd day, and it was delivered to my place of work today
A bit annoyed with myself, as I have left it at work !! |
