Com5 / Com6 Tomtom not saving.

Hello,



I own a Ipaq 3950 & a Haicom CF GPS. I have a big problem.



There support guy says it's using Com5 but the app he sent say's it's on Com6 and it does get the signal on Com6 and not 5.



I'm using RoutePlannerEurope by TOMTOM, When i set tomtom to use com6 it does not save the setting.

when I set com5 it saves but the gps will not display on the screen.



I know it's com6 but tomtom will not save.



Am i going mad?



Please help I'm driving to Wilts in the morning.

Bear in mind that the COM port can differ between Pocket PC's. No Pocket PC is ever the same depending on the applications you have installed.



TBH I haven't tried Roueplanner, have you tried downloading the latest GPS driver from TomTom's website ? This may fix the problem. The other thing is to select NMEA, COM6. This is just the same, but using a basic driver rather than an enhanced driver, and this might save.

My software is version 2.12 (631) sounds old 2 me,

The TomTom was super old and I bought a nice new one from the site :-)



I went to PCworld and Dixons and I could not find the software. :-(

The updated GPS driver is here, TomTom are currently up to version 3.1.
