does anyone know if there is a CF adaptor, that will allow me to fit the cf gps adaptor so that it sits on the back of the ipaq.

ie a z shape adaptor.

Not that I have heard of, is this because you have something in the SD slot that obstructs it?

It's arguable, then, that you bought the wrong CompactFlash GPS. The Haicom HI-303 series have an adjustable and foldable top section.

I'd be surprised if you broke your CompactFlash GPS - the cross section allows quite a bit of strength (unlike an SDIO GPS). Even if you could find the sort of gadget you were after, the resulting system would be very unwieldy IMHO.

Same reason I got rid of my CF GPS, it fouled the windscreen when putting the ipaq in and out of the cradle, and restricted my visibility too.

Not to mention it causing it to crash (the software, not the car Smile ) every 5 minutes.

I use the wired serial in the car,

But i also have bluetooth which falls over every 10 minutes, which someone has suggested, is a problem with running everything on the sd card. I should by a 512mb CF card and try the bluetooth again.

I bought the CF for portable use, got it cheap on E-bay. works well just unweildly. maybee buy a new haicom instead.

Thanks for the info though

I would definitely recommend using compact flash with your 2210. The SDIO drivers on it are said to be troublesome. As I have never used SD cards with it I can't actually confirm this.
What I can confirm is that I have not experienced any problems with Bluetooth nor had a bluetooth dropout using 128, 256 and now 1024 CF cards. Once a BT connection is established it is rock solid.
