Palm / etrex discrepency

when i link my garmin etrex to my t3 with pathaway they display different coordinates. This puts it out from each other by about 100m. Can anyone offer advice on this I am thinking it has something to do with the variation in the etrex set to 004W or north set to Mag neither of these are variables within Pathaway. I am using british grid and osgb as set up parameters.

I have worked it out I think. When i have been checking this it has been with weak signals inside the house. However if a good fix is achieved ie 6+ satellites the coordinatesa are identical. I was surprised to find that the raw data is apparently processed seperately by the palm software. Intuitively i thought that the GPS would have been left to do this and the palm just pick up the positional data, I assume there is a very good reason fir this.

Have you asked PathAway support? They've been very responsive when I've contacted them in the past.
