Hi does anyone know if the RoyalTek receiver as supplied with the route 66 package work with the tomtom mobile system?
If so how do i get them to pair?
If not where do i get a reciever that will work and what do i look for?
Thanks in advance

Generally all BT receivers work with all programs. You don't even need to pair - that's only required on a smartphone.
When installig TomTom be careful to install a non-offending GPS driver _________________ Lutz

What you mean is not pairing. You mean the TomTom application cannot find the BT GPS and doesn't connect to it's serial port.
What Smartphone do you have? _________________ Lutz

I have a Nokia 6260
A reduced sized memory card with the tomtom application loaded on.
The phone finds the bluetooth receiver and i can set it as paired.
When I turn on the RoyalTek receiver (as supplied with the Route 66 Mobile Britain package) it looks for a signal and finds one after 20 seconds or so.
When i select the tomtom application it comes on screen and says "No GPS device" and the GPS receiver does not flash blue as if it is talking to the phone?
I know the receiver works as it works with the route 66 package.
I wonder if the reciver as been locked to the route 66 package it came with.
Apparantly the tomtom system only works with tomtom recievers unless you tweek the connection pairing what ever that means |
