44, I use the trip planner on a daily basis in my job (i drive a non emergency ambulance dropping off & picking up patients from hospital) but i first have to work out the route order in which to input. would be useful if the Navman could work out the order route starting with the nearest.

45, have the route worked out so that the vehicle is facing the correct direction to drop off passenger on the nearside, if house number is recognised

46, this may be available, if so i have not worked out how to access, show the total route of the trip planner to show all drop off points are in the itinery( have had a couple of occasions where even tho address was inputed it was missed when on route) or show on screen next destination.

47a) when using POI - ability to search POI's byName (store name, street name, town/location name etc.) like google search. Currently, one has to navigate thru byCategory and byType. It's too time consuming to go trhu the category.

The search should be more flexible and more random. Currently, the pattern is matched one alphabet letter at a time in the order they are entered. Can I just enter "post" and get a listing of all POI occurences which contain "post" string, eg. Post Office ? I stumbled on this at one time because I didn't expect it to be under"AMENITIES" category.. And, how am I supposed to know this post office in my neighborhood for the last 10 years is called "ENICAL STATION", and that POST OFFICE isn't part of the name.

48) It'd be nice if the street name which Im about to enter/turn is flashing or blinking when I'm approaching the intersection.

49) Text -> Speech. Can the program read out loud the street name?

50) Why can't it just simple says "make a U turn" instead of the double left turns (left turn and then a left turn)?

51) Restaurant Type should have a subtype of "FastFood"

52) Ability to list and manage all "Avoid Areas". Some of these areas are only temporary because of construction. Also, the color of these marked areas should be bold and highlighted more. Red or orange is a better color choice. Current color is grey.

53) The POI icons need improvement for readability, eg. shopping centers, travel agencies. It's hard to understand what these icons really represent.

54) The street name anchor (a little red square) at the beginning or the end of the block, needs to be more bold. In 3D view, it's so hard to visually match the names to the streets.

52) This is an addition to the one previously posted! Have permanent and temporary avoids - Often I want to avoid an area just the once!

55) Ability to tap a location on a map and have pop menu choice "Center" that scrolls the map and places the tapped point bang in the center for accurate zooming in.

If you tap the map so the cross-hair appears, the map will then zoom in on the centre of the cross hairs.

This does not work for me Simon1. If I tap on a map in SmartST3 on the Palm or PPC no cross hairs appear. If I hold the pen on the map I get the pop up menu only. Perhaps your version of SmartST behaves differently on another OS? There is cross hair button that appears at bottom right of the screen but tapping on that either centers a route or centers on a previously selected fatvourite. What I want is to be able to center and zoom straight in on any point I tap on the map.

RE: 50

It does "Perform a U-turn when possible" - the left then left happened to me when I chose to continually ignore request to perform U-turn Smile

55? - I'd be happy if it did what it said it would on the box

Oh the joys of being an early adopter?
