Software help required for touring America/Canada

I am planning a trip next year of flying into New York picking up an RV and going up to Boston, then up to Quebec, down to Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Niagra Falls, accross to Washington, Philadelphia then back to New York.

I have a Mitac Mio 168 running UK Tom Tom 3. Can anybody advise of suitable software and where I can purchase it from?

Welcome to the site.

If you are looking for a software that is user friendly and does very good route planning then you should look at CoPilot 5. It will even allow you to cut maps according to your route, so you may be able to get the whole journey onto one 256 MB card (if you abstain from deviations more than let's say 50 miles). CoPilot uses ALK maps.

If you are more geeky or have less memory on your Pocket PC (but have a possibility to go online) then you should consider Mapopolis. This will give you NAVTEQ maps of the US and Canada, and especially in the Canada area will have some better maps than the competition.
