303-MMF mounting the mouse....

Hi all,

I have a 303MMF and am finding it a great piece of kit. I do have two questions though. Where do you guys mount it in the car? It came with some velcro and I put this on the dash. First bit of sun and it melted and left a right mess.... Currently it's sliding about on the dash. Some how do you guys / gals keep it in one place! Secondly is it just me, but do you all need to push the cable home on the mouse right in to get the led to light up? Just I often get it not working until I push it right in.

In car shops they have thes anti skid mats that you can use to stop it from sliding around. As for the heat - (and also against prying eyes) I use a baseball cap to cover the receiver whenever I leave the car.
