Bicycle audio

Hi,

On the external connector Pin 3 & 4 are for audio. But if I'm not mistaken will only produce audio if an external power source is connected.
Would it be possible to build a solution based on the handlebar mount that would produce audio on a bicycle?

I will need to investigate the connector at some stage - how did you identify which pad carries the various signals? Do you know the others?

Don't you just hate proprietory connectors!

I did see somewhere that external power must be connected to get audio out of the Quest. This would suggest that external power is used for an internal audio amp. This makes sense as it would help extend battery llife - but is not much use if you want to get audio for on a bike. I did see somewhere a reference to a S/W update to allow volume control for a bikers ear buds...

There still seems to be a few things to work out here!

I am most interested in using my Quest for bike riding and would appreciate having more information on having a connecting wire for a earphone, using the Quest inner battery!
