Just got this because I wanted a standalone GPS as opposed to a Pocket PC.



I can't believe how user friendly it is and am more than pleased with it.



Software is the same as on the 3400 but it hasn't got the Navman SmartST Pro SP1 upgrade.



Only two complaints



1 I want the new recalculating route option because it keeps on trying to bring you back to the original route.



2 I wish i could have the Navigation screen all the time and not just an option when a route is entered. Due North viewing is a real pain.

1. I'm not sure of the internals, whether it's a Pocket PC guts, or not. I think you might have difficulty applying updates. We're still waiting for ours to come through, so can't really say more than that at the moment.

I'd say it's not based on Pocket PC but it does run a replica-type software system.



Maps, Menus etc are exactly the same as in the 3400 review
