Hi,
I've just purchased a Garmin Quest and I wanted to change the default map set to include some extra bits of France. I connected everything up and sent the maps to the device. Now when I zoom in to my home location I can only see the major roads from the basemaps. (Looks just like it does when you select "Hide GPS map Detail" in MapSource. When I go to "Map Info" on the device I can see all the maps listed. I'm stumped, I have a feeling I'm doing something stupid but I can't work out what.

| If you only downloaded the 'extra bits of France', then that's all you will have in the Quest. Every time you download it deletes the previous entry completely so you have to include all the areas you want everytime you download. |

Thanks for your reply! I've loaded a map set containing all of th UK and the Alpine area of France. I can see all of the maps shown in "Map Info" on the device but I can't see any of the detail when viewing the maps themselves. I've done everything I can think of including upgrading mapsource and the device and reseting everything several tmes.
It's driving me mad!  |

| Are the boxes ticked on the map info page? It must be something simple, have you tried loading them again? |

They are all ticked. I've tried loading everything several times and no luck so far. I've emailed Gamrin Support too but I haven't heard back from them yet.

I've fixed it!! I selected "Clear all user data" on the device and re-sent all the maps and it works again! Think I'll stop fiddling with it now  |
