GPS Receiver Outside The Car

Hello

I would like to use my IPAQ RX3715 and a routing programme (such as Pocket Streets) when I am walking, could you tell me if it is possible to buy anything that will allow me to do this?

Assuming you use a BT GPS receiver - then you do already have everything you need. Jus tbe aware that not all programs support walking mode equally.

Pocket Streets is not a routing program, it will show your location on a stret map but will not provide routing guidance.

Having said that it will work fine on an RX3715 all you need is a GPS receiver.

Thanks for the replies but I don't think I explained myself very well!. I was more concerned with the hardware that I needed rather than anything else. Ironically after posting this message I sumbled on one of your reviews about the Globalsat SD-501 and this is the sort of thing I was looking for. If I understand it correctly I can place this into my SDIO slot and receive a GPS signal wherever I am (subject of course to the usual obstruction restrictions). Could you confirm that is the case

Indeed that is, if your PDA has Bluetooth then a Bluetooth GPS would work equally well and leave the storage card slot for maps.
