Hi guy's just got myself the pioneer x1, which is a combined audio, dvd, sat nav mutli media centre for the car, not cheap at £1,500!. now i have found out that Pioneer own 67% of tele atlas and all map udates will be free, great i thought. was very dissapointed when i noticed my whole housing estate which is now coming up to being built for at least 7 years isn't even on the map, yet it's all on my ttg. seems map updates with tele atlas don't just stop at the tom tom go!

hi

I to have a Pioneer X1 as well as the TTG. Just trying comparisons myself.

Scary thing is the points of interests are far better on the TTG than on the Pioneer. Alright admitting thats cause you can download to TTG but still!!!

Hi

I have to agree with that, but i suppose having the opportunity to travel via more than one address and proper postcode search is a plus point. still learning on it.

Do you find that the cursor on the map is slightly behind your actual postion, ie. when i pass a road on my left or right the screen still shows me approaching it, is there a cure for this that you know of. on the ttg it's spot on.

I have the same thing. The TTG seems spot on accurate.

What view do you use on the X1? For some strange reason I find the drivers view mode useless. Its drags behind where you actually are but if you use the birdseye view as such then its pretty much spot on.

I do like the X1 loads but I just think it needs a few tweaks to make it as good as you would expect from £1500 worth.

The fact you can have Speed cameras as well on TTG is a big plus for me.

Yeah i use the map view as well, the drivers view is no where near as good as the TTG.
