I have installed the camera database onto my Garmin Nuvi 2529 as per the Garmin spoon-fed instructions but I get no voice warnings, ie Gatso 60 etc.

In the extracted files I can see the voice warnings are all there but when I approach say a 40mph zone
I just get two bongs from the unit and speed 40 a grey bar across the top of the display. I installed sox.exe but selected.wav files for tihe download. I
am unsure if I should have selected MP3 ound file download instead.

I installed via garmin poi loader to memory card andd then transferred to poi folder in the unit.on the map all the alert zones appear to be there

Please can someone point me in the right direction

Bongs does indicate that the .WAV files are not correct in one way or another.

Check that their filenames are identical

Example :

Gatso50.CSV
Gatso50.BMP
Gatso50.WAV

[quote="Kremmen"]Bongs does indicate that the .WAV files are not correct in one way or another.

Gatso50.CSV
Gatso50.BMP
Gatso50.WAV

All of the extracted files from the download are in the format as below, for example:-

I have just seen that all the sound files are in MP3 format sound files despite me selecting and downloading WAV files from the dropdown menu, could this be the problem? Looking at the file download for using .Wav, I cannot see any Wav files??? They are all MP3...

If you click on the relevant file you can see that it is a BMP or if it is a MP3 file it will play or a .CSV file will open in excel. are you saying that I will have to rename all the files as in your example?

Yes

Get the WAV files and yes, they may need renaming but that's just a one off job.

If you download my CSV Converter the various WAV files (Male / Female) are in the package.

Looking at your download history you have downloaded multiple versions of both the MP3 and the WAV options.

I would double check which version of the zip file you are opening and transferring. It may be easier to delete ALL your current downloads and folders so you know you're only dealing with the WAV file version?

I have just downloaded the 'UK - SPeed Zoned' with the 'WAV - female with chime' and it is definitely WAV files and not MP3.

If you set the Nuvi GPS simulator to on you can test from your armchair by plotting a route past a known camera and watch it run.

If there are none near you you can use the trip planner app within the Nuvi menu to set a start and end point to save time.
