Dunno what the significance is - or even if it's related - but the Traffic England website message has changed to: Graphical speed data and Roadworks data may be incorrect

I got my indoor test rig out again yestercay and it's still down.

The Traffic Receiver Dashboard is showing Run and DAB are OK but TPEG is still red.

inrix traffic still down and is affecting all the transmission standards (dab tpeg, FM tmc and via the internet. but I'm now thinking if it was caused by traffic reduction roadworks would still show up it is obviously a back end issue.

That was a good call about no traffic.

Funny it should just go down Sat morning at 08:40

Another bonus of little car usage is that I filled up at £1.02 per petrol litre a few days ago, maybe cheaper now.

I think diesel was £1.09

Over the last couple of days, I've found that if I connect my phone via bluetooth, and then start the Garmin smart phone link, AFTER starting my sat nav (Drivesmart 50), then I would get digital traffic. But if I don't do it that way then it doesn't connect for the traffic. However my phone does connect for calls but nothing else.....

It used to be that I could start it all on my phone and then power up my sat nav and it would all connect.

However if I try to use the built in receiver in the 12V power supply, then that still does not connect at all to the traffic and every so often tries to lock on.....

That used to work as well......

Yes, SmartLink traffic is from a different source, was viaMichelin last time I checked, to the Inrix cable data.

Oh right, I thought you were just saying that Smartlink is still working whilst digital traffic isn't.

I guess we won't be needing any traffic info because cars are parked up so there isn't any.

Mine had a 5 hour wash and brush up yesterday and is now in the garage under its cover again.

Because I have the time I'm going to reorder the saved radio stations tomorrow, not a lot else to do, highlight of the day.

Spent some time reworking my car DAB and FM radio stations into the pre-select slots.

Probably spent close to an hour and even after that I had no RDS reception on the built in unit.

If it is the lack of traffic then it's affecting more than Inrix

If Garmin traffic ever became unreliable then I'd strip out my Garmin wiring and use my phone instead.

I only use mine for the traffic.

I'd try running STA behind Google Maps and see if that worked.

I've recently been getting phantom queues reported and a road closed at J13/ M1 which isn't. Annoying because it keeps trying to route me away from the "closed" road.

I've been using my Garmin around Reading for routing as it's got a better database of places.

So far it's been quite good and found shorter routes than my built in Alpine
