Philadelphia is installing 32 speed cameras to cover just a 12 mile stretch of road.

Roosevelt Boulevard, dubbed the most dangerous highway in Philadelphia, will see the new cameras installed over the next few days.

The city averaged an astonishing 40 hit-and-run crashes a day between 2017 and 2018, with the vast majority happening along Roosevelt Boulevard.

Nine people were killed in crashes on the road last year.

Philadelphia is trying to emulate the success of New York City where fatal crashes at camera locations were reduced by 55% between 2014 and 2017.

Hit and Run/Speeding. Not sure these are the same offence. So how does a speed camera catch a hit and run driver.
Not saying I disagree with the sentiment, but don't understand the logic.

Maybe because they always speed off after the incident? Or could be permanently videoing the road.
