A driver has been given a suspended sentence for using a laser jammer on her BMW.

When a speed camera van was unable to record Debra Brown's speed as she passed in her BMW 135i, Police carried out an investigation and seized her car. Examination revealed it has been equipped with a Laser Pro Park device connected to a Speed Cheetah.

When questioned Brown claimed it was fitted to help her park, Teesside Crown Court was told.

Brown, of Appleton Wiske, North Yorkshire, denied perverting the course of justice but was convicted after a two day trial. She received a nine month sentence suspended for 18 months and was ordered to pay £2,000 court costs.

Amazing they have time to investigate?

At work we had £10,000 pounds worth of Fork Lift Truck batteries stolen.

Police did not bother turn up even though we had CCTV evidence and the registration number of the vehicle, which was conveyed to them within 10 minutes! Just sent us a crime reference number, and a victim of crime leaflet!!!

We certainly will never 'help police with their enquiries' in the future!

Ah yes, but what you have to remember is that the 'crime' was against the police and not a member of the public. Plenty of time and resources to investigate that, isn't there.

Is your understanding of the law really that poor. If so you are a very ignorant person spouting missives that are completely untrue. You sound more like a chronic lawbreaker who uses the excuse of the police or the “them versus us“ idea as your excuse for all your misdeeds. Next time you are the victim of a crime Please don’t call law-enforcement as you must obviously be a victim of your own doing, by your idiotic standards.

I am using the 'evidence' of post #1 and post #3.

Perhaps you would also like to read the very last sentence in THIS thread

I'm so sorry, but I really can't think just how to Moderate her/his post. It's so awful I'm at a complete loss. I could delete it, but that hardly seems good enough.

So, I'm sorry.

I must admit that when I read about those fork lift batteries, CCTV evidence and plod did nothing/not interested, that's just so wrong.

I've read too many similar stories like this. Makes you wonder.

Don't do that Dennis, as it shows him/her up as a complete and utter to$$er. But thanks to you and K for the support,
I wonder if the user name BMW PC gives a clue as to the reason for the vehemence?

It'a a possibility. Still, no point in conjecture for fear of another outburst.
There was a time when I was paranoid, but now I know they are just out to get me.

Oh you lucky thing, the innocence of youth! They’ve been out to get me for so long that I’ve become paranoid.

Can you see this M8TJT? Ignorant people spouting missives about their own idiotic standards?

This is not just "Thank you" and "Like", this is "Falling in love".
