Basecamp, POIs and Custom Icons

[I searched the forum back to 2015 and could see no answer]

I have loaded all my personal ex TomTom POI sets into Basecamp under folders all within the main My Collection folder

Adding images to the windows path \Documents\MyGarmin\Custom Waypoint Symbols I can then select those images for the different sets in Basecamp

I then sync (send to...) these sets (either individually or as a complete collection) and they are listed under favourites in their individual group names. Ideal

However they do not carry over the custom images that I have assigned to the sets, every POI is displayed in both the Where to menu item or View Map as a white heart on a green background (the default favourite icon I presume). I have tried setting the property of the POI to symbol and name and alternatively image and name but this makes no difference.

Is this a limitation of using Basecamp and my Drive 5 or do I have to manually copy over the custom images to a folder on the device.

Garmin 'On the road' devices cannot use custom symbols I'm afraid, so the symbols your Drive displays are what they are.
