GO 1005 v GO 5000

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me which is the newer GO 1005 or Go 5000. I would expect 5000 but can never be too sure! Also, if the 5000 is newer, can I add POIS, my own car icon etc? I'm looking for a newer replacement for my 1005 but loath the fact that the latest TomToms cannot be tweaked to my liking. Thanks in advance. Roy

You can add pois to the 5000 BUT not associated .bmp files or custom sounds. No custom car icons either.

Thanks David. Looks like I will be looking for a secondhand 1005 on e-Bay. TomTom can get stuffed. No more new devices from them unless they allow full editing like before!
