Hi there, i'm trying to upload the new speed camera database to my Nissan Leaf but Nissan Connect cant seem to finish reading the drive. It just says reading usb device for ages, it never ends. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Has anyone successfully updated their 2016 nissan leaf with the new speed camera database? If so could they tell me what memory stick they used? Cheers.

Isn't the WD Passport a regular mechanical hard drive, rather than a solid state thumb drive? If so, it probably isn't able to draw enough power from the USB so just try a regular thumb drive. The database isn't very big so almost any size thumb drive should do the job.

Hi Ians100, I tried a regular thumb drive too but no success :-/. Cancelled my auto subscription as can't see this working to be honest! I'm guessing other people have had success though...

Manufacturer installed SatNav devices are more often than not locked out or very difficult to install third party POI's.

I would consider getting a separate SatNav just to have the 'reminders' that there is a camera ahead.

I'm no speeder but I do drift over the limit from time to time simply because modern cars are just so comfy and quiet. The warnings remind me to check my speed.

You don't have to mount it if you want your windscreen clear or dash clear of cables but your call.
