My one shipped from TomTom, Eindhoven, NL yesterday and should arrive next Monday 10/10/16.
Barking, United Kingdom 07/10/2016 10:31 Arrival Scan
Eindhoven, Netherlands 07/10/2016 4:06 Departure Scan
Eindhoven, Netherlands 06/10/2016 18:56 Origin Scan
Netherlands 06/10/2016 5:59 Order Processed: Ready for UPS
EDIT: From the install guide...
Quote:
PLEASE NOTE: During installation, you will be asked to turn your engine on.
If the vehicle reports any errors or warning messages on your vehicle’s dashboard, turn off the engine immediately, remove the LINK 100 dongle and contact technical support.
Or it starts smoking
Also it says the car should be on level ground while installing so it must have some sensors in it.

My one arrived on the specified day but not until 17:59
Anyway, fitted in car parked on level ground.
Tell the app make, model and year of car.
When prompted by the app, plug into car with engine off and wait for pairing lamp.
After pairing it did an update from 1.5.x to 1.6.x
It says in the leaflet that it will tell you to start the engine, my one never did but as it was showing the battery voltage I started my engine with no warning from the car Toyota Auris Excel 14 plate.
Expert Mode information seems to miss a few key fields including oil temperature which perhaps it uses to tell if your engine is warm at start?
While driving the main screen looks like this
Driving score page
If you have loggin on after the drive you can view the route, here is a zoom in
You can share your results online
While posting to facebook it keeps repeating this error
The missing data from the engine is a letdown, having to have your phone on to get the gps log and where your car was parked feature also is a bit of a shame.
It makes you create yet another account with TomTom (not the same as your TT device for map updates, etc) and seems to make no use of it?
I think an updated version of the Garmin alternative sounds like a better idea...

It is still plugged in and working but admit offers no real value.
Also the main page only shows engine RPM in 50 RPM steps (expert page shows actual value and agrees with rev counter in car).
I also have noted that the Bluetooth is always on so if you load the app near your car the expert page will display the battery voltage.
You can even see the voltage drop when you unlock the car and of course when the starter motor cranks.
It does seem to still record your route even with the app not loaded but the phone was in the car so it did occur to me perhaps as the BT is active is still maybe getting location data from the phone.
When I get the chance I shall try again with my phone turned off.
