Still haven't looked.

All depends on the verifier file contents. If they are a single file then easy peasy but but if they are separated into Gatso, Mobile, etc then a bit more work.

The POIloader ploy could be to have a working directory sub folder because POI would suck then into the same GPI. Or alternatively perform a second POI run on a second directory.

On my list.

Hi di ho it's me again looks like both of you were both right about MPH & KLMS reloaded speed cams & made sure MPH ws selected & all seems well , have had Garmins since 350 so have loaded sp/cams many many times & never made that mistake ,allways a first time a , any thanks for your help .

While I'm here can any one tell me how to stop Garmins red & grey speed banners appearing . I have ticked custom POI'S but they still keep appearing & they take up so much screen space .

Do you mean you're still getting Garmin warnings? If so delete the Garmin files from the POI folder.

In that case it must be the PGPSW warnings, they too produce a banner at the top of the screen similar to the Garmin ones.

The grey banner will be the PGPSW cameras and the red banner is the Cyclops cameras.

POILoader does not create a red banner.

Back to plan A searching for the Cyclops gpi file.

Given what K says search your nuvi and any card for any stray .gpi files, since your nuvi will hoover up a gpi file from anywhere, not just from the POI folder.

Hi I cannot find a Cyclops folder anywhere having opened every thing that I can & the banner I'm referring to appears more or less in the middle of the screen and is red when warning is of over limit but go to grey when under limit , but why are they appearing when I have selected 3rd party POI's & I have never used Cyclops .

What device do you have? None of the recent nuvis do that. Can you post a screen shot of what you're seeing?

Here's something to check.

When sussamb said this "Do you mean you're still getting Garmin warnings? If so delete the Garmin files from the POI folder" he means for you to plug the device into your computer and to look in the device's internal storage.

In there, you should find a file called POI, containing files with names like UKIrelandCyclopsSample.gpi. The devices come preloaded with these, and they need deleting if you've got PGPSW warnings.

(Earlier on, you said this "cannot see any thing Garmin in POI folder only my own stuff" which sounds like you're searching your PC instead of the device's own memory).

Dales.

From re reading your posts I'm thinking you are referring to the Garmin's own overspeed warning that will turn the prevailing speed limit icon red and will produce a bong if you stray over the limit, and have the bong feature set.

If so then this is nothing to do with speed cameras/poi's that produce a banner at the very top of the screen.

So how do you turn them off K. That would prove it one way or t'other.
On mine, it is Settings icon ~ Map & Vehicle ~ Audible Speed Alerts. Or is that just for the Audio?
