Garmin GVN 54

My car has a built in Garmin Nav (as above). It happily takes the Garmin City Navigator maps. There is also a gpi file on the memory stick that looks like a speed camera database.

Any thoughts on which version of the database to use and whether I need to go through the POI loader route? I'm hoping I can just drop the files on the memory card, put in the car and it will read it in (which is what happened with the map update)

What is the name of the existing gpi as there are some non POI ones on the PND's

You can definately produce a .gpi file on your PC using POILoader. If you can then copy that across then it sounds like a plan.

Obviously protect (copy or rename) the existing gpi just in case it isn't a POI file.

The file is called
CyclopsSafetyCameraEurope.gpi

I suspect thats a different company/organisation or Garmins own system?

Ah yes, that is Garmins own third party camera file. Your POILoader one should be placed in the same location and hopefully.......

If it's the same as the PND's then there may be a menu with checkboxes which will show both files and allow you to check the one you want active.
