Bluetooth GPS Full Functionality

OK can anyone help with this.

I have an XDA II which I potentially wish to use with Memory Map. I have been tempted to buy a Bluetooth GPS but really want the functionality of a conventional Garmin or Magellan GPS.

So my wish list is for a Bluetooth GPS that works just like an Extrex or Geko. With the capacity to save tracks and send these along with receiving tracks and goto way mark information by Bluetooth from the PDA. Ie to use all the functionality of Memory Map.

Then you could programme the GPS, switch off the PDA. Navigate by the GPS, switch the PDA back on and get your location and track information on screen. In reality this would be far more practical in the hills than using the PDA all the time.

Is this a complete pipe dream or will it ever happen? Can Bluetooth send programming information or will it always be just position data? Should I not hold out and just buy a current Bluetooth GPS?
