Same DB version but on different platforms, are they different?

After submitting 4 new cameras earlier this week, I downloaded the latest version 12.093 for my TomTom. The new cameras were not there. Not really an issue as they had only been in position 24/48 hours.

I also have an android mobile phone and decided to install Camera Alert. This downloaded DB version 12.093 and 3 of the 4 cameras were visible. This suggests the latest TomTom DB, with the same version number is different to the one available for Android.

Missing cameras from the Ov2 file are:-
Average 50m specs167736@295
Average 50m specs167624@177
Average 50m specs167678@220

I could have this wrong, but as far as I know...

The database for dedicated satnavs that you download is definitely only updated once a week (on Wednesday usually).

But the database for CamAlert is updated regularly over the air.

The database is updated at any time by the Administrator, MaFt, morning, noon and night, whenever he gets round to it (which is VERY often).

Android and iOS users can download the latest updated database at any time, subject only to availability of a data connection - the user simply taps the CamerAlert screen three times and down it comes. Sometimes if I'm on a long run, I'll download as I set off, then again at the destination ready for the return run. It's so easy. It's "downloaded" over the air, but not "broadcast" over the air, if you see what I mean - the user has to initiate the download, it isn't automatically sent to him/her a la TomTom mobiles (allegedly - I have yet to see the slightest sign of their OTA updates).

Due to the difference between the Android and the TomTom Ov2 file, I was concerned that I hadn't loaded the latest version for TomTom. Thank you for the clarification.

Cheers Dennis. Thanks for explaining my rather woolly reply.
