Strange one.

Haven't used my TomTom Go 940 Live myself for a while. Updated the unit with the latest PGPSW camera database and also the latest TomTom updates.

When I used it for a journey I found that I was getting no camera alerts.

I've been back through the installation and set up and can see nothing wrong. Whilst I haven't used the unit for quite a while I do know that it was giving alerts at that time.

Has something changed in the latest TomTom software to prevent the database from working??

For some time now, I have had to go through and reset all the warning sounds from scratch each time a new map or firmware version is installed and also after installing the latest set of PGPSW cameras... Methinks TT are up to their usual tricks, but they work OK after being reallocated.

Could be worse - the Maps&More in our Volkswagen UP! loses all settings including favourites on installing new software...

Then make a copy of MapSettings.cfg file, found in the current map folder, and save it elsewhere.

That is what I used to do, but it stopped working after one of the updates and since then, I have had to do it the hard way. I don't know what has changed, but something has....

I got fed up resetting the voice alerts after each map update so I use the 940 as a visual aid and CamerAlert on my iPhone as the audio alert, works well for me.
