Can't see a reason why it doesn't. Perhaps if you could explain a bit more fully exactly what the problem is, someone might be able to point you in the right direction to get the two working together.

As far as a different combo is concerned, I use Sygic with the PGPS cams loaded for display and CA for the directional audio alerts. This combo works well on my Galaxy Ace2 and Nexus 10, and should do on pretty much any android device. My phone has android 2.something and my Nexus 10 has android 4.something and the combo works well on that too,

Sygic have a discounted offer on at the mo, I think abt £35, which includes lifetime TomTom maps and TomTom's (somewhat dubious TomTom) traffic is about £10 a year.

Others will possibly come up with alternatives.

Hi Sarah,

Just a quick one, it's worth remembering the the Camera Alert file is a standalone app, and doesn't actually combine with any navigation app. CA can either work in the background with your navigation app showing on the screen. Whenever CA notifies of a camera a red banner pops up for a couple of seconds and depending on what warning you have set it an audio warning will say - for example "Red speed 50". Which means a red light camera where the speed is 50mph. When you have gone past it will say "All clear".

Now all of that depends on what you have set in the settings.

You won't get anything showing on the actual navigation map so to speak.

You can have CA running on it's own with no navigation app running. Again you can have it in the background or have it on screen all the time and you will be able to see what cameras are around you with small directional arrows.

There is a link to the manual but I don't know how to put it on this page. I'm sure someone else will be able to assist though.

Good luck, hope I've helped a bit and not confused you more.Smile

edit by me to add - audio warning will say

Sygic UK&Ireland now £17.49. W Europe £24.49. Traffic UK&Irl £13.49/year
Here
A point to note abt CamerAlert is that if you display the maps, it uses phone data on the fly to download the map tiles. If you don't use the maps or have it running in the background, the only data that you use is the initial download and weekly updates.
