Issues Samsung Ace S5830

A few weeks ago I struggled to get the updated database downloaded onto this phone. I have no such problem with my HTC Desire HD. Unfortunately the problem which appeared to be solved with Darren's intervention has returned and again I am not able to download the current database. I do not believe it to be a CamerAlert problem more one of a Samsung Ace one. I wonder if anyone out ther is using the same spec phone who is (or not) having similar problems.

I have already done some obvious things to relieve the amount of memory on the phone , changing the SD card etc.

Thoughts from Samsung Ace users appreciated.

The way to download the database on this samsung phone is to do it on 3G.
Downloading over wireless connection does not work. Doing with 3G has worked twice first time.

Moral of the story !!!!

does it happen with all WiFi networks, or just a particular one? Maybe a dodgy DNS server?
