You haven't given many details about the update you're being offered... It might be the software update to allow MapShare updates to work, or you may have already done that and it is the MapShare updates themselves.

If it is a software update, then you should see it as a Navcore item to download on the MyTomTom updates screen.
If it is MapShare updates, then you should see them as an item to download in the same place.

Here's what it looks like if you have already got the software update...

Either way there won't be any menu changes on the TomTom itself.

Any MapShare change YOU'VE made will get uploaded silently in the background as soon as you connect to MyTomTom.

I did the software update update a week so so ago, so his was something different.

I was assuming it was for the map share....but couldn't see anything in the menus to reflect that.

I don't think I've made any map share updates....to that effect I don't think I would know how to

Still no updates for the BLue&Me TomTom Go 1000s

Had a 60mb download this morning so thought that was the new firmware, but on reboot still showing as Version 10.839 Dated 10/04/2012

So looks like waiting again, still several updates behind the standard Go 1000s, cant be that hard to modify them fo rthe Fiat B&M 1000s!

What sort of TT upgrade would it be without something to moan about?

For my commute journey of around 50 miles I usually use 2D mode set to Zoom To Route so I can see where the traffic is.

Post update in this mode every road disappears so all I have is traffic worms on an empty background. The map gradually zooms in as the journey progresses and the missing roads gradually start to appear bu much more slowly than before...

Definitely a backward step IMHO...

Two things Ive noticed post update:
1. The pgps camera icons appear clearer. I dont know whether this is due to you creating better looking images or the new navcore displaying them better.
2. HD Traffic takes an age to connect.

Upgraded this morning, all went well and have had the initial mapshare corrections download.
I also did a map correction on my 1005 for a local road where traffic flow has been reversed. I was pleased to note that afterwards my speed camera voice warnings were still present as were my favourites. This process on previous models/firmware has caused them to be lost....the voice warnings definitely.

Question though, why has it taken TT so long to provide mapshare functionali for the Go 10 range?

I have also just updated today after returning from holiday. Everything appears to be fine except I have lost the favourite favourites or whatever the system is called. I have retained all of my favourites but just as a list and not with the option of my common favourites being available. Has this happened to anyone else or have I simply forgotten how to confugure my 1005 live?

Have you enabled Mapshare updates on your device?

Should be under Settings,...Map Corrections,...Corrections From Others.

I have downloaded 3 updates today.

In Australia, just offered 12.055 today and updated ok, showing 12.055 on unit. Surprisingly, the self edited speed zones seemed to have stuck for once with a version change.

I've just connected a Via 130 to MyTomtom and it downloaded v12.055 along with usual updates.
