Now it's illegal in France to use speed cameras are the police targeting Brits or is it reasonably safe to use them. Im going in July and find the French cameras well hidden usually unless they have the warning boards out
Tally, If you are still reading this and you haven't left yet, I travelled through France last week and didn't notice any changes to my previous trip last year.
I drove on all types of road, toll and non-toll, town, village and country, busy and quiet.
I didn't see any increase in police activity or real reduction/increase in speed cameras. I saw only one new camera within one of the new Dangerous Zones we have heard so much about. It was well hidden in vegetation at the side of the motorway and placed in an unmarked, round, green pole about 2m high. All the old "RADAR" signs seem to be in place still.
The only difference I did notice was that the French drivers appear to adhere to the speed limits more that they used to, perhaps they know something we don't? _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
