Has anyone seen the Belkin GPS receiver?
I was just browsing when I looked at a picture of one:

http://www.microwarehouse.co.uk/product.aspx?SKU=E511538

It looks suspiciously like the Fortuna Clip On?

The Belkin is priced more, but does come with software (that includes full coverage of US and Canada). I assume it must come with UK maps as well.

The only difference is the Belkin label, but you won't get the neat Clip-on case and belt clip. I bought mine six weeks ago on the Belkin site and plugged in coupon code 82242 for a $260 discount. I paid about $150 for the GPS and its bundled software, a great bargain, but it was shipped with XT v1 and Intellinav v1.1 software. There has since been a worthwhile upgrade to XT v2, which can be accomplished from your computer if you have a BT dongle on your PC, and Intellinav v2 software. The sale item had the older versions, and I don't know if it is still in effect. Plug it in and see if it works!

As for maps, mine was packaged with maps for the U.S. and Canada only. Since the software is very common (Intellinav, aka Belkin, Deluo Routis, iGuidance, etc.) I'm sure UK maps are available for downloading from one of these sites.

Where can one download Intellinav v2? Is it a free update for Belkin v1 users?
Does Belkin unit has MCX connector for external antenna?
Thanks,

Intellinav comes in many variants, among them Belkin, Deluo Routis, iGuidance, and PrymeNav. So far Belkin hasn't posted v2 on their site as an upgrade, but about a month ago a Belkin tech rep told me it would be forthcoming, with no date given. I'm not holding my breath, but I may give them another call tomorrow.

The other three variants all supposedly have v2 available, but as a Belkin owner you haven't purchased the other brand of software, so you don't qualify for a free upgrade. You'd have to fork over $100 or so to get it.

Yes. It is available at the Belkin site for $50, but I'm sure you could find it somewhere else for less.

have you heard if Belkin is any closer to releasing version 2.0? Is the upgrade worth it?
