Navman 475 does not have shortest route which was a bit disappointing for me because i often prefer scenic routes

Went out for a day trip y'day and set it to just 'avoid motorways' - it came back with 'can not avoid motorways'????????

Thats crazy - there is always an alternative route to any motorway at all - in this particular case there was virtually dead straight route avoiding motor ways

In desperation I tried to edit the route to avoid the Mway - no can do - and finally tried to add a via route just to drag it away from the motorway but 475 doesn't support 'vias' or 'avoids' either

With lack of short route and no method of avoiding motorways makes me suspect that the software only supports 'fastest' route

This feature was added with the service packs.
To gain this an several other features including custom POI import you need ti update Navdesk and the 475.

http://download.mio.com/ServicePack/Desktop/Mio/MioMore_v7_30_0016_SP.exe it the latest patch for navdesk
http://download.mio.com/ServicePack/SmartST/Mio/SmartST_475_479_v7_00_0535.exe is the link for the 475 software.

Thats great - installed it

Is there a changelog documenting what was included in the upgrade?
