Does the TomTom 'walk-through' on This page help?

SpyderMan,

Can you provide any more information on your problem; how you are trying to connect etc?

Two initial items

Are you using a powered USB hub or powered USB port; the 2nd USB port on the keyboard is not suitable to connecting TomTom - use one on the Mac itself.

What version of TTHome are you using?
The current version for Mac is 2.8.2.1171 (though I think Windows folk have a newer version). Personally I have not found 2.8.2.1171 to be stable. Version 2.8.1.1109 is more stable for me so may be worth a try.

John.

We also need to know if you are using the original TomTom HOME app or if you have one of the latest TomTom devices that uses MyTomTom.

So you downloaded the Home mac version, then recreated your account, connected your 710, and there was nothing?

Also, ignoring HOME for a second, does the 710 appear as a mounted disk on your desktop?

If not then we need to resolve that before HOME can work.

Try a reset of the 710 to start with, the reset button is under the unit adjacent to the electrical connector , use a pin to press th eswitch.

If the reset fails pop the card out of the 710 and put it in a card reader, can TomTom Home see it now.

All the above don't work, you can see th edrive letter associated with the device and still TomTom Home can't see th edevice, try using Home 1,6 as this should see the unit and update one single file from then on the device will work with the latest version of Home - Mike

With a mac the device should just appear as a separate drive on the desk top marked'internal', and a second marked 'sd card' if one is fitted.
