Hi all,

I have a Go 720. When I try to connect it to my main computer, it is not recognized by TTHome. When I look at the Device Manager, the USB Mass Storage device for the 720 is there.

However, I can take that same 720 and plug it directly into my other computer, or into my work laptop (w/o powering it down/up or resetting it), and TTHome on those computers will recognize the 720 and be happy as a clam.

I am assuming that I have a driver issue, however I have uninstalled TTHome and reinstalled TTHome from my main computer and I still have the same issue.

Does anyone have any clues as to whether I manually delete any files, or force some kind of driver redetect to somehow help my main computer recognize the 720?

Thanks.

Have you tried a different USB socket on the PC?

In Device Manager you should be able to right click the device and Uninstall it. You'll then have to unplug the device and plug it back in again to force reinstallation. This has worked in the past for me with some devices such as Printers...

TomTom's own help pages...
Device not recognised by HOME
Device not recognised by computer

Something there might help.
