Purchasing a new car audio with Iphone 3gs/Tom tom

just starting to look at this but thought I'd check here as to whether any of you guys have an experience with the above.

So basically I'm going to purchase a not massively expensive car audio system. It must be able to charge the Iphone and also relay music and Tomtom voice instructions. Not too worried about it being bluetooth as I'll be charging (if possible) via a cable from the stereo

any suggestions ?

Have a look at Alpine's iPod/iPhone solutions.

I had one in my Merc, full iPod control from the head unit, connects and charges the iPod/iPone via USB. Worked superbly.
