I recently had to reformat my computer. Sad

When re-installing everything, the mapsource wizard is succesful up to and including registering the 25 digit number and the registration number. Then on the last screen, it stalls, saying 'unable to connect to internet error code 12308' (I think) ' Confused Confused even though the internet is connected and available.

While the unit (Zumo 550) is running fine, it's a bit of a nuisance not having mapsource.

My advice is to download Garmin's BaseCamp application instead. It appears to be positioned to replace Mapsource at some point. Not yet quite as polished but more features than Mapsource. One of the better points is that it allows you to use the map installed on your device on the computer as well for planning purposes. Mapsource does not. All other licensed maps installed on computer are also recognized and made available, even the 3rd party Garmin compatible ones. Download for free directly from Garmin.

'If it is, telephone us on...' Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad I've spent four twenty minute periods listening to the music, without getting through, should I try again??

Another message today, 'sorry for the delay... try downloading from this link.'

Link to 'US Topo maps', which obviously won't download because I do not have US mapping, not that I would want it anyway.
