Routes not working

I have uploaded several routes to my satmap all with waypoints reduced to below 500, routes over 50ish miles don't seem to work, I just get a straight line to the start/finish point rather than the route, when I check the route on bikehike it shows the full route so I don't think it's due to the waypoints being reduced.

I'm new to the satmap so excuse my ignorance, also I only have the basemap in use at the moment, could this be my problem?

Any ideas please, I'm beginning to wish I got the Garmin.....

I believe the problem you have has been discussed previously. There is a bug in the Satsync software.

To overcome, go into

Settings | Import(1/2)

and change

'Filter route points from routes' to 'No'.
