I am awaiting delivery of an HTC Touch Pro 2 (Windows Mobile 6.1), Verizon, and am wanting a GPS solution for use in the U.S.

I am coming from a Palm TX, where I ran TomTomNavigator 5 (using an external GPS BT Receiver), which I was reasonably satisfied with.

Many speak highly of iGO8, but despite a lot of searching, can't seem to find if this is even an option for me - U.S., Windows Mobile 6.1, HTC TP2.

What's the scoop? The official iGO8 website only shows European maps, an iPhone app with North American maps, but nothing that would work on my device.

If iGO8 isn't an option, many also seem to do well with CoPilotLive 8.

Any comments on this, or other suggestions?

Thanks, and I apologize if this is common information. I'm new to both Windows Mobile, and iGO8, and did a reasonable amount of searching, with no clearcut answers obtained.

Thanks.

It turns out they require the program to be run on "their" SD card, on which the product is purchased. With the maximum being 8gb, and my just having ordered a 16gb card (and not wanting to swap them out for the sake of GPS), it looks like this may be a non-starter for me.

But I do appreciate the info. I'll take a look at CopilotLive8, which seems to get some good comments.
