Today, I did a 300 mile round trip with Kate. She never faltered once. Let's see if she stays that way. Cool

Earlier post about missing voice warning as others had, I thought I'd cured by reselecting.

However on long run today, now have stuttering, and the voice has gone dead during journey.
So I went back to change preferences page to do voice change but then she started spouting.

However, appeared to be the last 50 miles directions all at once, not very helpful when concentrating on which r/about exit I needed!
Eventually she got back into her correct rymthm and then started stuttering Crying or Very sad

And you're certain your car charger is fully seated?

I did a short 2 mile run to the London office from the Hotel this morning. First time I've tried 8.302 on batery and it was coughing and spluttering with the screen dimming whenever it had to do anything. Did the run to London on power earlier this week with same settings and no issues. This morning I was on the handsfree kit (Parrot not Tom Tom) so couldn't give it my full attention.

I'm driving back up the country in an hour or so. 4 hour drive. Device is charged so I'll see how it copes on battery to add some weight to the theory.

Yes I may unplug occasionally if the radar detector which is of the talking variety is giving me info overload along with the TT!

Is there an issue therefore, in battery only mode?

Sorry if this covered on one of previous 46 pages on this thread Exclamation

Yes. What you described sounds more like the issues some others have had here with latest application 8.302, but only on battery.

As promised: Left London last nght. Reset before pulling away. Destination North Yorks. Device was fully charged. Bluetooth to PAYG phone in the boot for Traffic. No Handsfree in use. Computer voice selected.

Device worked fine for around an hour and a half then it spluttered on a command and wouldn't issue any more. Went through about 4 areas where the usual navigation commands are be issued and still no voice. Tapping the top right to set volume and hear next command - still no voice.

So without changing anything and without resetting I simply plugged in the USB cable and bingo! Voice commands back. Remainded so all the way home for the next 2 hours.

Apart from losing directions, on mine it also silences camera warnings!

Has anyone raised with TT Support/had a response??

What gives you more power, a battery operated drill or an electric drill of the same voltage? And which one lasts longer?

Well, why in heavens would you complain if you use a product solely on battery power when you have the option to use (the equivalent) of electric power and then be surprised when the battery power gets drained and certain functionality gets lost.

Don't want to use the battery charger? I'll give you my address. I can always use another ...

i think the point is that it should work solely on battery power as thats how its been designed and meant for that purpose.
How do you power it if you dont have the power lead option, ie bike on foot etc
