Corrections verified by TT?? How many motorways do you know of that are 60mph speed limit for their entire length in both directions permanently?

TT have seriously lost the plot lately.
The M5 was 60mph from J22 to J30 for several map versions and that was both BEFORE AND AFTER Mapshare Corruptions (sic) became available.

There was also a section of the M6 around Shap that was 60mph on v6 and v7 maps IIRC.

The worrying thing about the M66 is it is the ENTIRE length in both directions. If this has been verified by TT it was probably by the 8.3xx Navcore programming team who cannot spot a problem if it smacks them between the eyes.

I can't find the release notes on the TomTom pages, which would have solved the question immediately - anyone have a link? or is it a case that TT are simply not letting on?
The link given with the download was www.tomtom.com/6141. BUT when you get there, it doesn't yet show 8.301.

only time will tell andy - I had 8.300 running fine for over a fortnight at one point before it eventually fell over (I had Kate TTS6 and TTS7 installed at the same time).

Try streaming bluetooth mp3 audio and directions, TMC plugged in and head for your nearest complicated roundabout. Make a few handsfree calls as well - guaranteed to kill it!

The results are nothing short of comical with Kate TTS6 installed.

Anyone had trouble with the hands free since 8.301 , i had to reset to get voice/ringing back up and working.
then i got cutting off in conversaion, had to reset again Shocked

only time i ever needed to reset was for the TMC lead detect, this has tobe related to the 8.301 due to i only updated last night and had these problems today..

I've had hands free trouble forever!! With my x20s (920 and 720).

I was convinced it was due to the RDS-TMC in use with hands free on the same device. So I use my 920 only for RDS-TMC and my 720 only for hands free. Cured it for ages, but over the last two weeks it has come back to the 720. That device is still on app8.010. A couple of days ago I ran the Clearflash tool and it hasn't happened since - whether clearflash has cured it again, I do not know, only time will tell.

The point is, this problem has been around since earlier models (I even had it a couple of very rare times on my GO700, more on the GO910 and GO710), not a new bug, a senile one!! But none of my earlier models had RDS-TMC, so my theory about that was blown out of the water - maybe RDS-TMC exacerbates it though?

TT have owned up to another glitch

I have looked into this case further for you and it appears that the release of application version 8.301 was made before the emulator was updated in TomTom HOME. Therefore currently when trying to use Operate My Device you may receive the message that the function is not yet supported. We will be releasing an update shortly that will resolve this. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Which is what happens every time they release a new Navcore.

Isn't it worrying that their support people don't know this and have to go and ask a grown up.

That's exactly what I said on my Customer Service survey - not that anyone will read it, I guess.

www.tomtom.com/6141 now has the one and only release note "Fixes EPT not working in Australia". So all you people not living in Australia and all you people with 520s and 720s which don't have EPT needn't have bothered downloading 8.301. Never mind, you've had a nice little thread to play with!

Excellent - the only reason I haven't emigrated is because EPT didn't work in Oz.

Best go pack my bags and my 920 .........
